Echinacea Purpurea

Native Americans used Echinacea to treat snake bites and to protect wounds from infections. Today it is promoted for its ability to boost the imune system and ward off infections, particularly the common cold. I grow it just in case the Conservation Commission stops by again. "...but look, but I do have a native plant!"
